Good - Rating 5/5

Enjoyable Stay - Rating 5/5

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. The hotel was cosy & comfortable, the staff were very friendly & accommodating. You had to go to their sister hotel The Ferry Boat Inn which is just over the road for breakfast. What a fabulous place for food! You get a continental breakfast with your room but can upgrade to a cooked 6(extra pennies but well worth it) Everything cooked fresh, the food was so good we ate there the 2 evenings we stayed. Again staff there so friendly and obliging. Wouldn't hesitate to go back to both The Argyll Hotel & The Ferry Boat Inn.

Lovely- Rating 5/5

In room 11 we had the most stunning outlook. We were made to feel very welcome and our Scottie dog too. The only thing we were sad about was no cooked breakfast available before we left because of short staffing but it’s the same all up and down the country in hospitality. (We cheered ourselves up with a lovely cooked one at The Pieron way home) I blame Brexit 100%. Ullapool is very beautiful, always has been but with their new front work improvements makes it so much more lovely. Thank you for our lovely stay 😊

Staff are great, food was good, facilities are outdated - Rating 5/5

The hotel and facilities are very old and it shows. A lot of it smells of cigarette smoke from days gone by.The location is an ideal place to stay of you want to catch the morning ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway. Our room was generally pretty clean; however there were a lot of stains on the upholstered chairs. We had a wonderful view of the harbour and surrounds. The staff are very helpful and the food was nicely prepared.

Great location and inviting pub - Rating 4/5

We were here in peak season so rooms were expensive (but they were everywhere). Our room were a bit dated and run down but made up for this with fabulous views of the harbour, comfy bed and Netflix/streaming services. House keeping could improve, ie. No tea, very little milk, soap dispenser in shower empty but again, this was countered by a lovely pub downstairs with a great atmosphere.
